Biography
Prof. JUDr. Oľga Ovečková, DrSc. specializes in commercial law and legal theory, which she taught for many years at the Department of Commercial and Financial Law at the Comenius University, Faculty of Law in Bratislava. A senior member of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Institute of State and Law, she has written or contributed to many books and articles, including Commentary to the Slovak Commercial Code (head of author team, Iura Edition, 2022), Commercial Law: Companies (co-author, Iuris Libri, 2013), Commercial Law: Law of Obligations (co-author, Iuris Libri, 2013), Invalidity of a Company (C. H. Beck, 2012).
Oľga has also served as an arbitrator in many arbitration proceedings in the Slovak Republic and abroad.
